First US 1100 class

I was really stressed out before I came to class, and for some reason after class I just felt a lot better about everything that I have to juggle. I am really glad that freshman are required to take this class because it really gives the opportunity to succeed. I am also really excited for September 11ths Free Hug day! I think its a great idea and not only will it help people feel a little better and like they are not alone on a day that causes all Americans to reflect, it will be a great way to meet new people. I think this class will do a lot of good for me, and I am really glad that we had paws preview in the same group as our class. I think that US 1100 is going to be the class that I look forward to going to, and I'm glad that most of the work is based on participation and activities rather than just mostly mindlessly reading like most of my other classes. Its nice to learn in a hands on environment, because there is only so much reading you can stuff into your head, and actually witnessing the product of your efforts through these activities makes it stick a lot better.
