Diversity

So I really enjoyed class today, it was interesting to see everyone's different backgrounds. There are a lot of things I wouldn't have guessed about a lot of people in our class, and it was cool to learn what we things we have in common from our past/family history. It was somewhat intimidating to stand alone facing everyone else during the silent exercise, but it didn't make me feel ashamed, or awkward about who I am. I've been through a lot within my family and my life to become who I am, and I can say I genuinely like the person I have grown into over the past few years. It was really awesome that Kelly shared some of her story with us, I don't know many teachers that would do that as comfortably or ass willingly as she did; that really tells me a lot about her, and I like her even more now for it all.

I'm glad we had the chance to have a normal class again, I really enjoy having that hour and fifteen minutes once a week to chill out, get to know each other and relate to everyone even more.
