Embracing

"Free Hugs" Day was one of the best experiences that I have ever participated in. The event started off slow, but getting and giving that very first hug, is a great feeling. I thought that it was funny that not one person was able to walk in the quad with out getting ahug, because there were so many of us.

The campaign was an overall success. many people stated that we made their day, and I heard a few "God bless you" comments. It was a great day to give hugs on September 11th despite the group at the horse statue that was trying to blame 9/11 on the government. Many opeople did sneer when asked if they wanted a hug, but I choose to look beyond that and I am satisfied with the overall success of that morning. I saw many people in our class, as well as volunteers give out hugs even after the class period was over.

Until Next time,
